Parker's many faces

Grandma is so good about trying to capture all of Parkers cuteness. Here are some of the shots she got this morning.

4 Days Old

On Thursday Parker was 4 days old. We made our first venture out of the house using the carseat so that mommy could get her staples removed at the hospital and Parker could have her first visit with the pediatrician. Everything went smoothly and both doctors agreed that we are both doing great. Since we were already on base we drove over to the beach so that Grandma could get her feet wet.

At the doctors office we found out that Parker has put a couple of ounces back on, she is at 6 pounds 3 ounces currently.

She was so smiley while Grandma was holding her but we haven't managed to catch any on film yet.

She's so dang cute.

Parker Elizabeth's Arrival

She's finally here! Parker Elizabeth Nesbitt was born at 13:10 on Sunday, August 26th. She was 6 pounds 6 ounces, and 20.7 inches long. She has a full head of dark hair, dark blue eyes, and her daddy's long toes and feet. She is beautiful, and Hank and I are completely in love with her. As for her birth, I am really happy it's over with. The crazy kid decided to break my water around 6pm on Saturday night. It was out of the blue, friends from DC were visiting so we had been to the beach for a couple of hours that day then were hanging out at home watching a movie when all the sudden it happen. We went to the hospital and they confirmed my water had broken, but said that I wasn't dilated in the least. They gave me cervadil which started contractions so Hank and I spent Saturday night getting through the contractions and waiting for dilation. Around 10am on Sunday I had dilated to 4 cm so they gave me a epidural and started me on Pitocin. The next couple of hours were a little scary, we had doctors and nurses in and out of the room because my BP was low and Parker was having late decels and decreased variability which pretty much means she wasn't tolerating labor very well. Around noon the attending doctor walked in with everyone else who was already there and gave us our choices. At that point we could have a "urgent c-section," or we could wait and see if she would come in time vaginally, but knowing that if she didn't come in time it would be a emergency c-section. Hank and I chose to have the c-section then and not wait to see what would happen. Everything turned out well, and Parker and I are doing just fine. Hank has been able to stay home from work and my mom has come to help out so we are well taken of. I will continue to post lots of pictures of course.

38 Weeks

Here is something no one has ever seen before... a Clay girl 38 weeks pregnant(so ready not to be pregnant though).

I have talked sternly, begged, pleaded, and bribed her trying to get her to come out. I eventually tried threats...

Nothing works. Here is her daddy.... Still waiting....

Sorry for the lack of blogging, but not many picture worthy things have happened lately. Hank has been busy with work and I have just been waiting for the Parkacite to make a appearance. Hank has two weeks of leave starting this weekend and we are going to see Chris play with Ryan Cabrera so there should be good pictures soon...
