Thumb

Dallas is officially a thumb sucker. It started last week and I love it and hate it. I love that she can comfort herself, and I love how adorable she looks sucking it, BUT a thumb will be a lot harder to eventually take away.
Last week we went down to Coronado to visit my friend Laura. Coronado is a cute little island off of San Diego. It has a Naval station on it so there is lots of military, but there are also a bunch of cute shops and restaurants, and a really beautiful hotel.
Next time I'm going to go down and just let Parker roll around in the sand, that was seriously all she wanted to do.

On Friday we went to Legoland with our neighbors, Aimee, Gabriela, and Ian. We are really excited- they bought season passes so now we have someone to go with!

Sisters

Three months today!

Sometimes I just love the funny faces I get.

Parker's animals are constant companions.

Her preschool teacher mentioned the other day how tough Parker is- she falls down and gets right back up. Check out those bruises.

Sea World

Since this weekend is a long weekend (plus the weather has been so nice) we decided to let Park pick something to do. So of course we were on our way to the zoo, which is always fun but not really new anymore, when I saw the Sea World exit. Hank turned around and off to Sea World we went.
Dallas did so well, she barely fussed all day. (See, even Dallas had her Zoo outfit on).
One of the first things we did was see the big Shamu show called "Believe." It was awesome. Afterwards we walked around the park checking everything out.

Sea turtles right next to a rafting ride (which it was too cold to go on in my opinion).
California Sea Lions.

Dallas and Daddy in the Shark Encounter.
Penguins!

One of the last things we did was go to the Sesame Play Place. They had a huge playground to play on, fountains spraying water, and a couple of cute kid rides like these fishy Elmos.
And right before we left we caught most of the dolphin show. I was really impressed with all the shows, and would like to see the rest next time we go.

80 Degrees

The weather has been in the 80's the last couple of days, and we have really really enjoyed it. Today Park helped her dad wash his truck.

But not before eating ice cream from the soft serve truck that comes around our neighborhood.

One of Park's favorite books right now is "Bad dog, Marley." Marley is so happy at the end of the book that he does the Marley Mambo- Parker calls this her Parker Mambo.
We thought Uncle Ry might like this- Park fixing her jeep.

Household

So Park started preschool this week and loves it (and I love having a few hours to myself). But of course she has still been her own crazy self.
My sweet smiley Dallas.

Not sure what he did to deserve this...

Smiley Dallas

And crazy Park who has been watching too much He-man with her dad.

Two month visit

This little girl is getting big! We were in Tx when she actually turned 2 months so we waited until today to have her visit. She weighed 12 lbs 4 oz (75th %), was 23 inches long (75th %), and I can't remember her head circumference but it was in the 50th%. Which basically means she is her Daddy's girl. Park was always short, kinda chunky, with a big head just like her mom. Dallas has always been really alert, but in the past month she has turned into a really happy baby. All you have to do most of the time is look her way and she will give you a big grin. She has also started "talking," and will sit and coo and smile for as long as you want to sit and talk to her.

Cracker

Ry is raising a pig again this year, named Cracker, whom Parker loved. Ry also got his drivers license while we were there, congrats Ry!

Dallas, Tx

Sunday, the 26th, the four of us drove up to Dallas to visit Cami, Mike, and my mom and dad who were visiting. We were able to see some of the places my dad lived growing up, do a little shopping, and mostly just hang out with the family.
We ate lunch at the mexican restaurant my dad was a bus boy at when he was in 8th grade.

Love you Cami!

Hank and I slept on the only available floor space in Cami and Mike's apartment so my parents stayed in a hotel for the couple of nights we were there. My dad found one with an indoor pool and then kept Parker both nights, taking her swimming a total of three times.

She had a ton of fun with Grandma and Grandpa, and we were really appreciated them wearing her out before our long drive home.

It was a short trip, but we had a great time. Thanks Cami and Mike!
