Birthday Party

So when we finally got home this summer school had already started and soccer started shortly afterwards and I was a little overwhelmed.  By the time I called the bowling alley the best I could do was to schedule her party for the 21st (almost a month after her birthday, oops).  I could have waited a few more weeks for Hank to be home but then we would be cutting into Dally's birthday and I wanted Park to have a special party just for her so we just went ahead and did it.

This is one of Parker's best friends, Raleigh, and her mom Cody.

Other than a few of her besties we mostly invited neighbors (that is who she hangs out with anyways so it was perfect).

Dally and her princess dress.

Dally looking serious but she loved bowling with the big kids.

Park was so excited.

Henry was so tired, he fell asleep in Amber's arms and took a pretty good nap.

Singing to Park

And opening presents.

We actually had an awesome turnout (we had 4 lanes of just bowlers, then many who didn't bowl), the last hour was cosmic bowling which was really cool, and Parker loved that she got a real bowling pin that everyone signed for her.  Parker loved her party and it was a great alternative to me trying to throw a party at our house by myself, success!

Soccer

Park is back in soccer.  She was so excited and I was really happy to see we had the same coach as last fall.  He is a nice guy but doesn't let Park get away with being lazy at practice, plus our neighbor Daniel is on her team and they have been really awesome about taking her to practice and early to games.

We had a make-up game friday night (they won), we painted pumpkins saturday morning (dally loved it as you can see), then we had our regular game saturday afternoon.

This is Park sitting out (with two of the other girls and the coaches son) which is what she did most of the game.  Some of the girls don't want to play so they are fine with sitting out but Parker was so sad.  He left the boys(except his own son who would rather flirt than play) in the entire game and didn't even put Parker in the second time he rotated the girls. I finally asked Parker if she wanted to play (she did) so I had her go ask to be put in.  He took one of the boys out for literally 2 minutes than tried to take her back out.  I threw a fit, I loss my temper and I'm not proud of it but he deserved it.  She is not the same player he had last fall, on her spring team she scored the most of goals of anyone, and she LOVES to play.  On this team she is not the best player but she is never going to improve if she doesn't get to play, plus this is a 6-7 y/o team, I'm pretty sure the rules say he has to play everyone fairly.  When I yelled at him I didn't say anything too terrible, it went something like this "Scott, are you serious?! She has barely played and there are boys who have played the ENTIRE game!  It's not just about winning!" But I did do it loud enough that many of the parents could hear, and he is a nice guy so I wonder if it hurt his feelings, but I'm really not sure that I care.  He apologized after the game (I was still pissed and not very gracious), and said he didn't mean to but how do you only barely play the girls and even when you do they ONLY play defense and you don't realize what you're doing?   I am optimistic that things will improve, but I guess we will wait and see.

Disneyland

Parker came up with this outfit randomly one day...
Disneyland just because we can...

Henry wasn't very impressed with the fairies.

But Dally was SO excited.

Dally hit her head getting on the teacups and wasn't very happy when I took this picture.

We caught The Magical Map show for the first time.  It was perfect for my girls- singing, dancing, and princesses.

It was the very first day that the park was decorated for Halloween which was fun except the ride to ride haunted mansion was ridiculous.

We saw this hulk outside of the park, we also saw a huge lego Beauty and Beast that I wish I had taken a picture of.

It's been a while.

I finally resolved some issues with my computer and can start blogging again, yay!  Here is a picture from Park's 6th Birthday.
And this was today, one of my neighbors is a big Giants fan and one is a big Cowboys fan so we had to step it up and show our pride as well.  I love Dally's face in this one, and how she calls the cowboys "My Cowboys."

She was so dirty.
