37 Weeks

Finally- the hot weather has broken! We took our AC units out a couple of weeks ago- just in time for the weather to be in the hundreds last weekend. My hands and especially my feet have swollen to gigantic proportions and the hot weather was making me grumpy. Luckily it has slowly cooled down until today it is around 70 and we actually got some rain! I also had my 37 week appt today, nothing too exciting to report except that I am dilated to a 2 and the babys head is down. So now we wait.
We haven't done anything really exciting this week- but here are a few pictures from our trip to the aquarium on Tuesday with my friend Laura.

I have no idea who the other little girl is but Parker invited her to be in the picture...

Update

There is actually not much to update every on. I am almost 37 weeks and very uncomfortable and swollen... and really ready to have her out. I could sit on the couch all day and be pretty content- but that doesn't fly with a three year old. I haven't blogged much since my computer went Ka-putz and we haven't had it fixed yet, but here are a few photos of Park.
Here she is feeding her puppy. She gets her entire tea set out and feeds them all at least once a day.

She has made friends with the little girl across the street, Gabriella, and asks multiple times a day to go over there.

Gabriella goes to a preschool nearby 3 times a week that we are thinking about enrolling Park in, but probably not until January.
Park is really excited to be getting a new little sister- especially because I told her that Dallas would bring her some new babies to play with when she got here (a desperate bid to get her out of a store one day when she was begging for them). She has definitely not forgotten I said that like I hoped she would.

Sweet shades....

Batgirl.
Some things I love about Park right now:
1. How she follows me around with her popper whenever I vacuum (and rams the vacuum every chance she gets)
2. When she plays with her tea set she always pretends to make sushi- whether she is feeding me or her pets
3. How she has a zoo of stuffed animals in her room- and if she is holding one then you must be holding one (you have no choice in the matter, the only choice you have is sometimes which pet you get)
4. She totally zones out whenever we get in the van- she asks for her "phones" and holds them on her ears the entire ride
5. We go for a walk around the neighborhood almost every night- and Parker and Miles run almost the entire time together. It's actually pretty impressive how far she can go.
My favorite conversation with Parker this week:
Me: Park, hurry up, we need to go before the commissary closes.
Park: I hope it closes.

Wild Animal Park

Saturday we went to the Wild Animal Park with some friends.
I think Hank may have had more fun then Park.

Kayla's Mom was in town with her little brother, Garrett.

Nate taught Parker all sorts of bad things.

These geese had absolutely no fear of people.

Park and Nate checking out the Flamingos (or Mingos as Park calls them).

Kayla and Park feeding the deer.

The rest of saturday was spent doing stuff like this...

Who knew a box could be so fun?

Bath Chatter

Park will stay in the tub forever if you let her. Tonight she was hilarious, she talked to herself the entire time. Hank and I were out in the hall dying, I wish I had caught more of it.

The Usual.

Hank was off today so Park and I took him to the zoo. He hasn't been there since we first moved here so we had lots to show him.

Scariest bugs ever...
I kind of want to make little kid t-shirts with this on them...

Park watched the otters for a long time.

She loves the sky tram.

The polar bears were all in the water swimming today, it was fun to see.
