San Diego Zoo

Sunday we took advantage of some warm, but overcast weather and went to the zoo.

It was busy, but Park really enjoyed it. She has been asking all day today to see the animals. The zoo has a wild animal park that is a lot closer to us that we are going to have to check out.

We were there for 3 hours and didn't even come close to seeing everything.

Shush your mouth daddy!

Saturday Night Cosmic Bowling

Saturday night we went back for some more bowling.

Park was just as enthusiastic the second time around.

Her scores actually beat mine....

On Friday we went up to Daddy's work too see one of the Marine Corps Bands and Silent drill teams perform.

Hank and I thought they were cool to watch.

Parker would clap after every song and then exclaim, so loudly it was a little embarrassing, "they're done Momma, they're done!" She was not impressed.

Today we spent the majority of the afternoon outside. It was so nice out Park got to play in her pool.

While Daddy put together her trampoline.

I am sad, I missed the 20 minutes of her hysterically giggling that happen before I took this video.

Random

Park has been bringing me the camera and asking me to take her picture... but then she runs across the room or runs right up in the my face. Here are the results.

Legoland's SeaLife

I love having things so close, and having the opportunity to get annual passes so we can just go for a couple of hours if we want. One of the things we have been meaning to do was to check out Legolands aquarium.

As with everything at legoland, the aquarium was well done and family friendly.

With lots of legos swimming with the fishes.

She was pretty pooped by the time we got home.

Caterpillars

Park has something against the caterpillars here. This video is for Grandma and Grandpa at the lake....

The Bowsers, a BBQ, and the Beach

The Bowsers came over today to see our new house and to have lunch. It was nice to get to just hang out and let the kids play.

Chris and Chance go back to Texas tomorrow but wanted to go body boarding before they left, so after lunch we all packed up and headed to the beach.

It was warm out, but not that warm. Ally and I had pants and sweatshirts on.

But they all followed through and actually spent a while out in the coooold water.

Park hung back with the girls

Eventually Park went in. She actually got pretty wet, but managed to tough it out.

Afterwards they all built sandcastles.

Bigfoot

On Friday we were driving through base when Hank spotted.... his favorite Monster Truck, Bigfoot. We took a detour over to the exchange so that Hank could look at it for a few minutes.

On Saturday we went back with the camera, but by the time we got there it had started to rain so they were putting it away.

Bowling

Bowling was actually an accident, but Parker was so funny while she bowled that we will definitely go back. At first it was just the nearest bathroom.

We also learned that next time we need to buy Parker 2 games to our 1.

And to watch her carefully because she kept trying to steal our balls.
