Happy 6 month Birthday Parker!

I already feel like I can barely remember a time when she wasn't around. Love you Parker.

Happy 1st Anniversary to us!

I thought this would be a fun survey type thing to do on our anniversary. It's all about us.

1. What's his name? Henry R. Nesbitt.

2. How long have you been married? A year!

3. How long did you date? around 8 months (if I really stretch it) between meeting and getting married, which was a lot shorter than we thought it'd be, but it all worked out.

4. How old is he? 24

5. Who eats more? Hank is pretty much a bottomless pit. He usually finishes his meal and mine.

6. Who said "I love you" first? Hank claims he did, I don't really remember.

7. Who is taller? Hank is, I am shoooooort

8. Who sings better? It's not very pretty all around.

9. Who is smarter? Parker. J/k. I don't know who is, but who really cares.

10. Whose temper is worse? We are both pretty layed back, but I think I am quicker to anger.

11. Who does the laundry? Me. Kind of. I wash everything then put it on the bed near his closet so he has no choice but to put it away himself.

12. Who does the dishes? Me most of the time, but Hank helps.

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Depends on if I am pregnant and need to get to the bathroom at all hours. Also depends on if he is in the country or not.

14. Who pays the bills? Hank did until he left, now I do.

15. Who mows the lawn? We don't have a yard. If we did though, it would be Hank who mowed.

16. Who cooks dinner? When dinner actually gets cooked it's usually me, but Hank helps out.

17. Who drives when you are together? Hank, especially when we're in his truck.

18. Who is more stubborn? It's a tie.

19. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Like I said, we are both pretty layed back, which includes admitting when we're wrong instead of starting a fight.

20. Whose parents do you visit most? I currently live with mine, but it will probably still be mine since they are within driving distance.

21. Who proposed? It didn't really work that way.

22. Who has more friends? This is a dumb question. We both are friendly though, neither of us really lack friends.

23. Who has more siblings? me

24. Who wears the pants in the family? definitely Parker

Peppermint Ice Cream

I love this kid, she is so funny. Uncle Dave gave her a taste of Peppermint ice cream the other day and she LOVED it. Which is funny because she has never liked anything cold before. I gave her banana's this morning and I had to pry her mouth open. Later on Grandpa was eating some ice cream and of course her mouth just opened right up, so we got out some sweet potatoes and fed her ice cream every third bite. It worked like a dream. I know this can't work for every fruit and vegetable, but it was seriously funny to watch.

Everyone at church loved Parker's boots today. You have to admit, they're pretty sweet.

This week Devon and Connor were on winter break from school. Last night they came over so that we could celebrate Nicki's birthday, and then they ended up spending the night. Parker loved that they were here today to play with.!
She has pulled their hair...

hung out....

snuggled...

helped them play video games...

ate...

and ate...

and helped some more.

Here is the birthday girl with the kiddo's. It was her 29th birthday on Monday... for the 7 time...



We also have to give a shout out to Grandpa Bush who also had a birthday this week. Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Ear Infection

Parker had to go to the doctor's again yesterday. She has been pulling on her ear, the hair around her ear, and has also been irritable. So she went in and it ended up her ear canals are too little for the doctor to see her entire eardrums (sorry baby, momma and aunt amy both have small ears and canals too). But what he could see was pink, and she is still getting over RSV so he gave her antibiotics just to be safe. Sometimes I feel like a bad mom. I just have to keep reminding myself that babies DO get sick. All I can do is take care of her the best I know how. Anyway, for being sick, Parker is still hysterical.

No! No! No!

Parker learned to shake her head 'no" a couple of days ago, and now she does it all the time. The surprising part is she mostly does it when she means no, not just randomly. My mom says she is too smart for her own good sometimes, haha. It looks like a spotlight is on her in this video because we had all the lights on and it still wasn't enough so we had to get a flash light out.

Other things I love about Park right now (Amy style):

1. how she has learned to hold her arms out when she wants you to pick her up or take her from another person

2. how she crinkles her nose when she smiles

3. how she rubs her blankets against her cheeks when she gets tired

4. how she constantly says Dada, and looks surprised when she discovers she can make a new sound

A Box for Dadda

I was thinking about sending a box of stuff to Hank this weekend. Think he'd like this one?


Speaking of boxes, we got one from Grandma Bush today filled with lots of fun stuff including candy. As you can see, Parker really liked the Starburst/Skittles, thanks Grandma!



Also, for anyone else interested, I found out today that Dwell (think really cute but really expensive baby bedding and clothing) has a much more affordable line now in Target! I already bought Parker the plush Olivia blanket(I couldn't resist). It is super soft, and cute, and she loves it. If you want to check it out, click Here.

Uncle David and pizza crust

We laugh all the time about how much attention Parker gets being the only baby in a house with four adults. She will go to everyone (though she loves Momma and G-momma the most), and almost always has a grin for anyone who looks her way. The funniest is how much she loves Uncle David's beard. He rubs it against her face when he kisses her, and she will reach up behind her and feel it whenever he holds her.





Parker sits in her Bumbo on the table whenever we sit down to eat so she doesn't feel left out. She usually just gets whatever bottle we are using to play with(and try to eat). The other night I let her suck on a pizza crust which she managed to get all over, but seemed to enjoy.

Dinosaur

Parker is learning early what the good stuff is. Today she tried out the Dinosaur barbaque sauce... bottle. Grandpa and Daddy really like to eat at Dinosaur, maybe when Daddy gets home they will take her there and let her try out the real stuff.
