Water park

Hank had Monday and Tuesday off so we tried to do some fun stuff with the girls. On Monday Parker chose to go to the beach. It was the first time we've taken Dallas and let her play in the sand and I am so sad I didn't have my camera! She was just like Parker use to be- totally content to sit, eat sand, and play in the water.

On Tuesday we went to Legoland to play at the water park.

Park was in the water for 2 1/2 hours straight and begged to stay in when we were ready to go. We ended up taking her over to the pirate water park where she could continue to play while Hank and I got a break. She is so ready for the lake, 8 hours a day of non-stop water fun!

8 Months

Dallas turned 8 months last week! She wasn't in the best mood when I tried to do a photo shoot so I think I'm going to try again tomorrow. She is constantly jabbering up a storm, starting to really extend herself to get things(crawling soon, maybe?), has been trying all sorts of new foods, and has finally rolled over!

One of her favorite activities is emptying out this toy container.

And playing with things she shouldn't be, like stickers.

Haircut

This week while Daddy was gone I took Park to get her hair cut. She was so excited and did a really good job holding still. Unfortunately it looks like the curls are just about gone. I was wondering if it would curl up more when it was shorter, or if the curl would disappear. As it turns out they mostly disappeared, leaving just a little bit of curl at the ends. Sad, but the haircut was much needed.

Scarf

I plan to get Parker's hair cut this week (it's hard to untangle and she has been getting it wet almost every day) so I made sure I took some pictures of her with it down to document how long it's gotten.

While we were at the outlets yesterday we stopped at Osh kosh and found this cute scarf in their clearance section. She has pretty much been wearing it non-stop since then.

And we got Dallas a 18 month skirt. Geesh kid, quit growing so fast!

We also found a matching hat in the clearance section- she is none too happy about it.

The Ebys Visit

Last summer when my cousin Annie and I were both in NY we talked about how fun Legoland was and how her boys would love to go. When I got 4 free passes in the mail this spring I immediately thought of them. Thankfully they had some free time and were able to come from Las Vegas to visit.

We hit up Sea Life beforehand.

Annie got some good snuggle time in with Dallas.

And Parker LOVED having their boys here to play with.

Then we went to Legoland. It was pretty busy, with long lines for the rides, but we still got a few in.

Annie's boys were really excited about all the legos and actually didn't really mind not going on rides. It was fun to go with two boys who really appreciated all the statues and everything.

We thought it would be too much to go to the water park and try to see legoland all in one day, but we did stop at the Pirate play place and got wet.

Last year Parker wouldn't go to the big kids part, but this year she really liked it. She would have stayed there going on slides all day if we let her.

We had a really good time with the Ebys, and were grateful for some time with family. Thanks for visiting Annie, Cameron, CJ, and Colton- you guys are welcome back any time!

The Bowsers...

Are also officially gone. We are seriously losing friends at a rapid rate. The Bowsers came over Sunday night to have dinner and say goodbye before they took off for northern California on Monday.

Parker spent the entire time outside playing with the boys. She is going to seriously miss Jacob, and Hank and I are already missing them all!

It took the boys about 30 seconds to find the nerf guns and then they were set for the rest of the night.

We wish them safe travels and happy new beginnings up there, we are going to miss you guys!

This doesn't really go with this blog, but this is her favorite thing to do right now. It is really cute.
