Happy Birthday Dally!

We were pretty busy hanging out and doing fun things with Grammy so Dally's birthday was kept pretty low key.  Parker picked out, made, and decorated Dally a cake.

Could we have bought a cute one from the store?  Sure, but nothing says sisterly love like a cake from your favorite sissy.

We used the money that Dally got from her birthday and bought her a cute chair of her own.  She and Parker have been playing on them non-stop. (p.s. Parker seriously NEVER has pants on if she can help it, sorry).

Dally (really Parker) opened her presents that the family sent on her birthday.  I haven't gotten a chance to write thank yous yet, but if you sent her a present, thanks!!!

At one year old Dally:

1. Can say "hi" and "uh oh" but her favorite is "bye"

2. Loves to sit down and read books

3. loves dogs as much as Park, and freaks out if we don't let her pet one thats nearby

4. Is still not sure about whole milk- she prefers water most of the time

5. Crawls away as fast as she can the moment she sees a new diaper or a change of clothes

6. Is very excited when Daddy comes home, she cries if he doesn't immediately pick her up

7. Sneak attacks Miles every chance she gets, and loves to crawl over and lay her head on him

8.  Is still using her left hand for most everything, I think we may have a lefty.

And mostly is just as sweet and cuddly as she has always been.  We love her. 

Mickey's Halloween Party

Yesterday we took Grammy to Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland.  It was really fun!  You have to buy special tickets because they kick all the regular park guest out at 6pm!  We got there around 330 and started going on lots of rides.

We went to the Haunted Mansion which was decked out with Nightmare before Christmas stuff.  It was really cool, the entire ride was different.

Park took Grammy on Splash Mountain while Dally and I hung out and waited for them.

Once the party started at six there were seriously no lines for any rides- everyone was trick-or-treating, so we took advantage and rode a bunch.

Including one of Park's favorites- the Nemo sub.

We also got pictures with some of the villains. The evil queen from Snow White.

Parker was really afraid of the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, it took me a minute to convince her to stand there.

The Fox Fellow from Pinocchio.

Then we got to see Mickey's Halloween Costume Parade.

The trick-or-treat lines were crazy at the beginning, but thinned out near the end.  We ended up getting a ton of (good) candy, plus apples and carrots.  I don't think I even need to buy any now to give out on Halloween, that's how much we got.

Dally fell asleep early but Park passed out 5 minutes before the fireworks.

So Grammy and Mommy did some shopping and then went home.  

Seaworld!

We knew it would be busy with the Halloween stuff going on and it being a Saturday but we decided to brave Seaworld anyways so we could do something fun with Daddy.  First we saw the Shamu show.

Parker barely watched.

While Dally was enthralled- clapping and laughing the whole time.

Then we went to go feed the sea lions and walk through the shark encounter.

Then we went to one of our favorite- Turtle Reef.

Then off to see the Dolphin show.

Penguins!

And of course we had to see the pet show.
