Day 2

I picked up some water shoes for parker yesterday so the shale doesn't hurt her feet. They didn't have Dora in her size so she got spiderman instead.

It was overcast most of the day, but we had a couple of nice hours in the afternoon. Parker tried out sailing with Grandma, Grandpa, and some family friends.

Dave took out the smaller sailboat but ran out of wind. We ended up towing him back.

Parker hanging out in the swing.

This is the dock that James likes to lay on and play in the water. Parker kept trying to get in the water so finally I put her swimsuit on her and we went swimming.

Uncle Joe bought a new sailboat yesterday with a super awesome bright pink and rainbow sail. Jamesy helped him launch it.

First day at the lake

Parker and I surprised my mom by driving up to NY yesterday. It was a long 12 hour drive, but Parker seems to like her new car seat and was pretty good on the ride up.
Here's Grandma with her two youngest grandbabies, Parker and James (who is 3 months younger than Parker). Parker kept trying to get her blankie back from James until Grandma finally picked them both up and let them share it.

She was so happy to be out of the car.

Cousins and babies. From the left; Amy, Corissa with Peyton, Devon, Cami with James, CJ, Parker and me, Connor, Colton and Anne Marie.

Blueberries with Daddy

Sarah's husband Kody was jealous of our blueberry picking so we took the boys on Saturday. Hank and Parker played more than they picked, but we ended up with about 4 more lbs of berries!

Blueberries and cuteness

Parker and Daddy enjoying lunch at home. Having him home for lunch is definitely a perk of living on base.

Park playing with the silverware she pulled out of the dishwasher.

Today we went back to the farm where we picked strawberries in May, but this time we got to pick some really yummy blueberries! Here is Sarah and her little girl Charly.

Park and I looking just as gross as we felt. We went early but it was still hot and muggy. Parker had a really good time because I could let her eat blueberries as we picked. In fact, I could barely keep her out of my bucket. At first I showed her how to pick them but after eating a non-ripe one she stuck with taking handfuls out of my bucket.

Our neighbors, Liz and Caleb.

Happy Birthday Hank!

Helping mom cut up vegetables for the birthday BBQ yesterday.

Parker's contribution.

Happy Birthday Hank! The BBQ was fun, we had between 20-25 people, and everyone seemed to have a good time. We got really lucky with the weather too, because it poured around 1, had cleared up by 4, and then started pouring again as people were leaving around 9.

Care Bears

A couple of my friends and their kids were over today, so we broke out the Care Bears. Apparently, Parker really likes them.

What hasn't Parker been into?

Parker post always seem to start with a picture of her enjoying... chocolate.

She has been into everything lately. Here she is taking out every single garbage bag.

And playing with the broom.

and playing with her cell phone (which she constantly closes her fingers in and then gets mad about)...

and into the Q-tips....

and here she is pushing her toy around. For the last couple of days this is all she has been doing, pushing her movable toys around and around the room.
