Christmas Pictures and Beach

We took the girls to the beach this weekend to try and get a good Christmas picture.  It was a no go.  Park wouldn't stop squinting and Dally wasn't feeling good, she wanted nothing to do with the sand.  Here are a few pictures- not christmas worthy- but still cute. 

Park was really more interested in playing in the water. 

Dally eventually realized she really does like the sand.

We ended up getting pictures outside our house but the beach was still fun.

Legoland with the Rex's

The kids are all off of school this week so we took the opportunity to go to legoland with some friends.

It was crowded but we played in the snow and went on a few rides.

It always takes them a while to warm up to each other and after that they are like two peas in a pod.

McKinley's Pirate Birthday

Parker's friend McKinley had a cute pirate birthday party yesterday.

The second held bags for their treasure, and the third had treasure!

Jess went all out with the decorations, it was really cute, she even painted these of Jake from the Neverland Pirates and Captain Hook.

Parker talked me into going to Legoland on Thursday to see if the snow was ready.

It wasn't, and it was kinda chilly, but we still had fun.

Dally loves that she can sit by herself and not on my lap.

The snow started the 19th.  We are going to go back on Tuesday to play in it (probably in flip flops and tank tops, ha).

They even decorated the mini-DC.

Everyone in the park had on coats or sweatshirts but Park couldn't be convinced.

Las Vegas

Thursday morning we piled into the van and headed to Las Vegas for SOI's Marine Corps Ball.  We stayed at the Riviera, which is where the ball was held.  We had fun at the ball, and the kids were great at the daycare, but we decided we are never taking our kids again... getting ready in a hotel room is bad enough, but it's near impossible with kids.

Friday we woke up (early thanks to a certain munchkin) and headed out to show Parker some of the cool things on the strip.

She thought the pirate ships were cool (I wish she had been able to see the show they do).

And insisted on throwing pennies in every fountain we passed.

We found this tree in the Bellagio as we were searching for the Crepe place my dad told me about.  Park was fascinated by it.  The crepes were amazing, the place that sold them had a cool chocolate fountain and a whole christmas scene (with the Grinch) made out of candy.  We were also able to see the fountain show outside while we were walking home.

We walked all the way down to the MGM to pick up our tickets for that night, walked back, and then took the girls over to my cousin Annie's house.

 Annie and Cameron fed us a delicious dinner and then sent us on our way while they watched our girls.  We were able to go see the Cirque Du Soleil show "KA," while the girls hung out and had fun.  Parker could have skipped the strip and just spent all day playing with Annie's boys, she and Colton had such a good time.  Thank you Eby's!!!
