Park

I am still not able to put pictures from my camera up, but here are a few tidbits from my phone. Instead I thought I'd tell you about a few funny things Parker has been doing this week.

1. She loves to dance. It started with the "Hot Dog" song at the end of Mickey and bobbing her head to "Frankie" (an animated frankenstein) dancing to "Thriller," but now she starts bending her knees and bobbing her head to just about any music. I find it especially funny that she is starting to like the Wiggles, and am thankful it's not quite the obsession (yet) that Connor had with them.

2. She has rediscovered her two little pianos, and likes to put them next to wherever I am sitting and bang away on them with the biggest grin on her face.

3. She will say "Hi" into the phone now, but usually only for Grandpa Clay and I think once for Daddy.

Wow, that's a saggy diaper.

Stuff

So Hank has been down in Texas at Ft. Hood for the last 2 weeks doing some training. He took my laptop with him and left me with his old desktop, which is fine except I can't hook my camera up to it to blog. So here are a few pictures taken on my cell phone.
Hank's Grandparents, the Nesbitts, came to visit us last week. We really enjoyed having them here, and hope they had a good time too! The last day they were here we went to the beach and walked by the water. Parker still loves the beach (and eating sand) even when it's cold.

Everyone always says you know kids are into something when it is too quiet. Parker is no exception.

This was really funny, we were at the Honda dealership getting the oil in my car changed. Parker played behind this magazine rack for most of the time, except when she was flirting with all the employees that is.

Hank comes back on November 1st so there will be lots more for me post then.

P.S. Clay family- make sure you check out the sisters blog because I posted the Christmas list.

Professional Pics

Last week we finally went and had some professional pictures of Parker taken. We just went to Wal-Mart but I think they did a good job. Ok Grandparents, let me know which ones you'd like.

Cowboy Boots

Yesterday I was putting something away in Parker's closet when I saw the box with her cowboy boots in it. How could I forget about her cowboy boots when my child loves shoes so much? They fit perfectly and are great for the weather we've been having.

It rained all day yesterday so we decided to paint our pumpkins. I think they turned out pretty well.

Park has been learning things so fast lately it is definitely time to write some things down. Her vocabulary is rapidly expanding, she now says: hi, hello, dog, Miles, she barks, she says ooh ah (for the monkey in her books), hot, uh oh, bye bye, out, momma, and dada. I know there are more I am missing, and will have to add to my list later on. She is also learning to do things on command. She goes to get diapers when we ask, and we are working on getting shoes.

Rainy Days

Sorry, I know it has been a few days since I have blogged but not much exciting has been going on here. On Thursday my friend Sarah and I ran our first 5k. It was just a Run for Fun sponsored by the MCCS on base, and a great start for two "non-runners." I did it in 27 min 10 sec and Sarah finished in 29min 23 sec. Not bad for a girl who couldn't run a mile in high school. I'd like to keep running and maybe do a 10k soon. Here are some pictures from this morning. We went out on the front porch to let Miles out, but Miles stayed on the porch and Parker went and played in the rain.

For some reason I have been babysitting my friends kids a lot this week, I really don't mind because I think it is good for Parker to have other kids around as much as possible. On Thursday night Lorilei was over for a couple of hours. She had a good time chasing Miles around the house with the popper.

A little bit of Park

Parker seems to be a little bit of a shoe hog. She wants to have shoes on at all times, whether they match or not doesn't seem to matter as long as they are on. This morning the first thing she did was bring me her converse and made me put them on her.

More Pumpkin patch

Here are more pictures from pumpkin picking on Saturday, stolen from my friend's Myspace pages.

The big girls: Courtney, Nicole, Sarah, and me
Courtney, her husband Robert, and her daughter Lorilei. I think Robert is from California so I'm not sure where his inner cowboy came from, but missing from the picture is his big belt buckle and boots.
The little girls. It is dirt around Parker's mouth, in case you were wondering.

Pumpkin Picking

Today we went to a local farm to go pumpking picking with some friends. It is the only place in the area to go and it was PACKED. Insane lines on top of it being 80 degrees out. The girls really enjoyed it though so it was worth it.
Here's Hank and Parker on the hayride to the pumpkin patch.

Here is Parker checking out a pumpkin.

Here is Sarah and Charly on the hayride. Sarah's husband, Kody, also came with us along with Courtney and her family, and our friend Nicole whose husband is out of town.

Hank and Parker after picking out their pumpkin. Honestly, Parker was equally interested in eating the dirt as she was of picking out a pumpkin.

Charly, Parker, and part of Lorilei.

And this was just cute. Parker and I are always up before Daddy leaves now so she gets some special time with him in the morning that I think they both love.

The life of Parker

Parker trying on Daddy's cover.

She got this laundry basket from our bedroom and pushed it out to the family room, tipped it over, and started playing in it.

Then she got Miles' harness off the table and put it on, and took it off, and put it on, and took it off....

She did a pretty good job putting it on all by herself.

Here she is pushing her popper with a bracelet in her mouth. I love when she carries stuff in her mouth like that, it makes me laugh.

Getting into Mommy's cupboards, as usual.

Park has been obsessed with shoes lately. Every time she disappears and it gets really quiet I find her playing in the shoes. She likes to put them on backwards and walk around, proud as a peacock.
