Legoland

Hank's long weekend started on Thursday because of his normal time off after a class graduates and then will continue until he goes back to work on Wednesday because of the holiday.  With so much time off we thought we try and get one last fun trip in so we took the girls to Legoland and Sea Life.

I love watching Dally's look of amazement at all the fish.  There is one part on the second floor where you can sit down and look through a viewing window and while there there was this big fish that kept swimming laps around.  She would sit and look until she saw that fish at which point she would yell and run to hide behind us.

This has been Dally's perch for the last few months and I'm glad we finally got a picture.

We were there for about three hours- just long enough to have some fun but not long enough to kill Mom. I'm glad we went, it is always special when we get to do stuff like this with Hank.

Henry Stephen

Introducing Henry Stephen born 5/26/12 7 lbs 18 3/4 inches

He is so sweet, calm, and very alert.  He likes to have his hands around his face and his fingers in his mouth.  He likes being dressed better than being naked and hates having a dirty diaper.  He is a good eater (a little too good at night, we're still working on the sleeping thing), and is totally adored by his older sisters.

Mom has a lot of the pictures from the hospital on her camera- I will get them off and post them soon.

We came home on Sunday afternoon and are doing great, Happy Memorial Day!

Random

Dally being Dally.

This is what happens in Cali- you just hang out in your front yard on a couch...
Jk, actually we were using the boxes our neighbors made to watch the solar eclipse.

One day a couple of weeks ago it was like animal planet around here.  First we came home to this lizard running around the house(thanks to some sound advice from Hank I was able to get him out).
Then Park and I looked out the window later and this hawk was hanging out eating a  mouse in the back yard, and Hank told us the same day he was out running at work and a cougar or bob cat or something ran right in front of him.

Class Graduation

Today Hank's latest class graduated so Dally and I drove up (Park was in school) to see Hank's speech and the short ceremony.  Hank held Dally for a few minutes at the beginning and she was really mad that I had to take her when the ceremony started (a bag of skittles worked wonders though).
Hank is in the front on the left, there is another platoon behind him on the left that I didn't get in the picture.
Now that his students are gone and he gets his EWS diploma on Thursday (yay for no more night classes!) he will be free and clear for this little boy to show up (hopefully Saturday night- right after Grandma gets here). I am definitely ready.

Disneyland

After a much needed break on Sunday I was ready to meet back up with Park and the Abshires on Monday for a day at Disney.  It was even hotter on Monday, but we still had fun riding rides and seeing characters.

Her daddy wasn't there to help carry her but Laryn and Jared stepped up and helped out a lot.  Dally didn't mind.

Dally did her usual "I'm just not sure about these guys" while we were taking pictures but then every time we passed by afterwards she tried to get back over to see them.
Of course we stopped by to the see the Fairies in Pixie Hollow.
I can't remember her name but this one is suppose to be the southern belle of the group and talks with a southern accent which Parker really liked.
We loved being able to see the Abshires while they were here.  It made me really really miss them and everything about NC while we were all there (except NC itself).

California Adventure with the Abshires

One of my best friends from NC (whose husband got out of the Marines and now lives in Louisiana) came out to Cali to graduate with her masters from USC (Go Laryn!).  We haven't seen each other in over two years and I was so excited they were coming.    Parker and Kes don't really remember each other I don't think but when your four it doesn't seem to really matter. Yesterday we met them in Anaheim and spent the day at California Adventure.

It was a beautiful, hot day, but not terribly crowded for a Saturday.  We rode everything we wanted to ride (sometimes for a second and third time), and even saw a few shows.
The highlight of the day was eating lunch at Ariel's Grotto.  Laryn made us advance reservations and I'm so glad she did.  The food was seriously delicious and the girls met Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty who all walked around the room stopping at each table.

Dally was so curious about each princess but wasn't confident enough to want to get really close.  My favorite was later in the day Minnie Mouse walked over to the stroller and played with her for a minute, giving her high fives and tickling her belly ( and that is why I love Disneyland, they always go above and beyond).
We had to get a girls picture with Laryn's favorite princess- Aurora.
Even Dally really enjoyed the food.
And this was dessert- so yummy.  I love that they made a conch shell out of white chocolate.

Just about 37 weeks- and by the time we left the park at 930 after staying for World of Color my feet were very swollen.
