2 weeks

Dallas had her two week check-up yesterday. She is a really good eater but we were still surprised to find out she has gained almost a whole pound in 2 weeks (she is now 8 lbs 7 oz). The doctor said they want babies to be at least back at their birth weight by 2 weeks, so Dallas is a champ and has way surpassed that. She has failed her hearing test twice so we have to go back in December and have a longer one done, but other then that she is a perfect, sweet little girl.

It has been in the 90's all week (which is just ridiculous in November if you ask me), Hank has been home on paternity leave but we haven't done much except hang out with the kids at home. Today he and Park decided to go on a date with just the two of them- Park picked Legoland of course. Hank let her get her face painted and took her on a ton of rides she had never been on (big kid rides I am shocked she liked)- like the log ride, a spinning pirate ship, etc.

They were there forever and obviously had a really good time.

Story Time and Bowling

At storytime on Thursday all the kids were invited to come wearing their costumes. It was cute to see them all dressed up.

I am still surprised that Park didn't complain about the costume, and even kept the hood up most of the time.

Her favorite part is coloring and getting to use the glue sticks.

Later that day Park helped Grandma make some yummy caramel apples.

She did all the decorating herself.

Mommy and Dallas needed a nap.

When Daddy got home he took Park and Grandma bowling.

Which Park, of course, loved.

Sprinkler

Today it is in the 90's, but the day Parker decided to run through the sprinkler- definitely not this warm. She was out there a while though, I guess the cold didn't bother her.

She has grown a lot lately- clothes that didn't fit her this summer now fit.

I hate getting behind in blogging- I can never keep it all straight if I don't blog right away. Oh well. Here are some more pictures from the hospital.

Park has continued to do really well with Dallas. She is gentle and loving, and always needs to know where her baby sister is.

Catch Up

Ally, Jacob, and Chloe showed up just after Dallas was born. We were happy to be able to share such a exciting time with them!

Ally was nice enough to take Parker with her so my Mom could stay with me. Parker loves to hang out with Jacob and was perfectly happy to go.

While they waited for us to get out of the hospital on Friday Park made us sugar cookies (my favorite!). Thanks Park!

Dallas Renee

She's here! This post is a couple of days late, I was down with a terrible spinal headache, but am going to try and catch up.

Dallas was born October 21st at 0854. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz (Park was 6lbs 6 oz), and was 20 in. She is beautiful with big blue eyes and reddish/brown hair that is much lighter than Parker's was when she was born. She has her Daddy's feet and hands, but Mommy's small mouth.

We hadn't planned for parker to be at the hospital, but Dallas did things her own way. The whole pregnancy I had wanted to do a VBAC, but by the time she was overdue and labor was no where in sight I had decided to schedule a c-section. Hank and I were supposed to check into the hospital at 5 am thursday morning to start pre-op. At 245 am I ended up waking Hank up to take me to labor and delivery, Dallas was on her way.

Mom wasn't surprised that we weren't home when she woke up- we were suppose to be at the hospital for pre-op. I'm pretty sure she was REALLY surprised when Hank called at 7 something to tell her that I was in L&D and already at 7 cm. Ally was supposed to come watch Parker so my mom could be there- but she wasn't coming until 11 so my mom and Parker came to the hospital.

Park stayed out in the hallway/doorway until it was all done. It was kind of fun that she got to see her sister right afterwards.

I couldn't have asked for the whole thing to go any better- except for the spinal headache. I am feeling better now though, and am thrilled that she came the way she did.
