Peltzer Farm

Yesterday was Parker's second field trip- this time to a pumpkin farm.

The first thing the kids got to do was go in and pet the animals.  They had pigmy goats, rabbits, chickens, and a giant turkey.

That was Park's favorite part of course.  Next they had a small garden with sections representing all the plants they have on the farm and what season they grow them in- Parker couldn't have cared less about this part.  She spent most of it telling me she was hot and could she please have something else to eat.

After that we went over to see the pigs.  They have them race on the weekend, but not during the week.

Then the kids went through a small corn maze.

Then came the actual pumpkin part.  

At this point I let Dally out of the stroller.  She thought it was really fun getting to crawl through the straw and touch all the pumpkins.

Park

Sorry for the lack of blogging but there hasn't been a whole lot going on around here....

This was last Wednesday when it was in the 50's and rainy all day.  Dally just sat at the door and watched the wind and rain.  (This week it is sunny and in the high 90's, what the heck?)

Dani sent the girls some of her old dance outfits...Park has been wearing them non-stop.

She also sent this awesome headband that Dally is slightly obsessed with.

Dairy Farm

Today was Park's first field trip with her school.  She has been looking forward to it for weeks.

It was to a dairy farm to learn about cows but the first thing Park did was find a dog to pet- which then followed her around the entire time.

Ed was able to go with Aimee, Grabriela, and Ian.  It was nice because he loves to hold Dally.

Brick-Or-Treat

Yesterday was Legoland's first day of Brick-Or-Treat so of course we had to go!

The costumes we picked up for almost nothing after Halloween last year have really come in handy.  She really loves the Batgirl one. 

They had lots of fun performances there.   This was a trio of singing witches.

And tap dancing skeletons?

It was less crowded then either of the times we went last year. 

Parker was so excited to trick or treat.

Dally was excited for the apples they gave us.

Mine and Hank's favorite part was something new- a Paint in Motion performance.  It was really cool, the witch you couldn't tell what it was going to be until the end, and he painted the werewolf upside down and started spinning it near the end.  If you ever have the chance to see these guys- they are pretty awesome.

We stayed until the end and got to see the fireworks.  We love Legoland!

P.S. A couple of times during the paint in motion performance Parker pointed to the stage and told me "Look Mom, he's painting a rainbow for Jesus!"  It was so random, but cute none the less.
