The Bridal Shower

The main reason we all flew into NY was to help throw my brother David's Fiance, Kristine, a bridal shower. For the center pieces we made these cute things called Cake Pops (the directions can be found HERE), which James immediately needed to try out.

Purple is Kristine's favorite color, and it just so happens that there are some beautiful purple flowers that grow wild by the road. We picked a bunch to use at the shower. If you click on the picture you can see Amy and Nicki.

My mom did a great job with the games, and don't you love the sign Amy made that is hanging above her?

I don't think the people at our table could even concentrate on the games because they were too distracted by Cami goofing off.
These are the finished cake pops.

They were really really yummy.

Presents!

My mom made the cake, and I think she did an awesome job.

My mom, my grandma, my grandma's sister Bea, and Bea's daughter Jackie. They all look so much alike.

Kristine getting to work on opening the presents. She got lots of good stuff, including a Kitchen Aid mixer from her future sisters in law.

My Aunt Anne waiting to pounce on any bows that got thrown to the floor.

So that she could make Kristine this...

Bunda Ride

The first thing Parker did after we got home and she woke up was to take me out and show me the tractor.

She is a very impressive driver, pigtails and all.

Then we helped get things ready for Meg's birthday party that night. Her birthday was actually the 14th but they waited until everyone was there to celebrate.

James loved the balloons but Parker was more intereseting in hanging out with Grandpa.

Whenever cami is around a picture like this always magically appears on your camera. At least my cousin Kelsey was in this one...

James is dang cute.

And really loves his bunny and binki. Ian nicknamed James- James Adder, we usually shorten it to Adder, and Parker just called him Addy.

Hi Mommy!

I was dying without my baby, and Thursday morning was just not getting here soon enough! I finally made it to NY and was very happy to see Park.
She was very tired though and feel asleep as soon as we got in the car.

Aunt Cami and Uncle Mike brought her this dress from Asia, cute huh?

Since Parker feel asleep Ian kept me busy the whole ride home, asking lots of questions and showing me how he could touch his tongue to his nose.

Bye Bye Baby

Parker left for NY with Grandma this morning. She seemed totally fine with it, waving goodbye to me at the airport...

Tenley

Parker helping Grandma out again...

Grandma's Here!

Grandma Clay came into town on Saturday night. We went to Wilmington and picked her up at the airport, then went downtown for some dinner and ice cream. Park was asleep when we picked Grandma up but quickly recovered...

Especially after some ice cream...

It has rained most of the time she has been here, but Park has been trying to help out...

Rain Rain Go Away

It rained again this weekend so Park invited Tenley over for some indoor finger painting.

I think Robin and I ended up doing more painting then either of the girls.

They liked getting in trouble for being on the table better.

Shirt

I made this shirt for Parker last night and I love how it turned out.

She doesn't yet get the concept of bathingsuits...

Carnival

Why, why, why do kids love to draw all over themselves?

This weekend there is a carnival on base. It is free to go, and all the rides are free, you only have to pay for food and if you choose to play games. They were doing full car ID checks this morning at the gate, making sure people didn't bring in everyone and their mom. Park and I went for a little bit but it was too hot, plus Parker didn't like the rides, including the carousel.
She didn't mind the Barrel ride.

Mommy didn't go on the train with her though, and she cried the entire time.

I am hoping she will like it better next year because I think it is cool that the base puts it on for us. My friends Sarah and Nicole both work for Semper Fit. They had to Demo Zumba out in the heat. Parker and I said hi as we walk by with our nice, cool, water ices....

Bubbles

Bubbles!

Anthony and Parker

We tried, but the water is still pretty cold...

Parker loves to play in the car when we get home. She opens the door and comes in when she is good and ready....

Crazy face

Parker has been speaking so much lately, and doing really funny things. Here are a few of my favorites:
1. She will tell anyone, including adults, when they are "Not Nice!" This usually is prefaced with a no, and her finger pointing at you.
2. She has started saying "See ya" instead of goodbye
3. She has started running everywhere, and she is fast. She no longer rides in her car to the park, she runs. When she's not running she has started this funny skipping walk, I'll have to catch it on video soon.
4. She has to have some say in a part of her outfit each day. Heaven forbid I put something on her she didn't want to wear.

She loves hanging out with my friend Sheila's boys. She can say all their names. Last night the youngest, Dakota (8), came over while they went out to dinner. Parker refused to go to bed. She was so tired she just layed down on the floor in front of him.

Her hair is usually out of control.

Mom, did you know that the stroller had to have off road capabilities when you bought it?
