Strawberries and the park

We have had a pretty fun day today. This morning Hank had to go into work for a couple of hours so Parker and I went strawberry picking with some friends.

This is Charly, she is almost exactly a year older than Parker and sooo cute.

This is Liz and her son Caleb. They are going to be living across the street from us when we move onto base.

Here's Sarah and Charly. I met Sarah last summer before we left, and she and her husband have been super nice to us. We are going to be staying with them next week.

The farm we went to had all sorts of animals. They had turkeys, pigs, bees, and chickens. Parker really liked watching the baby chicks.

Apparently they just shot the movie "The Secret Life of Bees" here not too long ago, and they used the bees from this farm. The guy who owns the farm also worked with Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning to help train them to work with the bees. Pretty cool.

This afternoon we went and played at the park with Daddy.

Light Saber

Parker loves shopping carts, and when she gets tired of sitting in the front she also likes to stand in the cart part.

High Chairs....

Yesterday we were in a restaurant and Park was in her high chair. Two little girls who were there were really nice and gave her a balloon. So Park was busing playing with that and we were busy talking...

Then she must have seen something else she wanted...

because she decided to try to escape...

and we were talking and didn't notice until she had almost succeeded.

Dada is home!

And it is sooo nice to have him back!

The Hedquist Family

On Tuesday we drove from NY down to DC. Chelsea, Chris, and Kip were nice enough to share their apartment with us for the night. Chelsea is a old friend of mine from way back in the day when my family lived in NH.

We had a great time visiting with them, and catching up on everything.

Kip is about 3 1/2 weeks younger than Park, and is a really good natured, cute little boy. It was so cute to see them play together. They would try and steal each others toys, but Parker would only win if Kip let her because he was stronger than she was.

Thanks again for letting us stay with you, we had a great time!

Before we left DC we went to Georgetown to visit. We really didn't get to see everyone for as long as we would have liked too, we'll have to make sure we have more time next time we go through town....

Car

Before we left New York Aunt Nicki and the boys got Parker this car. Ian has one from them that he loves so we are pretty excited to have one too. I don't think I have to tell you what a big hit it's been, this picture pretty much speaks for itself.

J-Ville

Parker, my mom, and I finally made it to Jacksonville last night. Parker was so so good on the ride down. This morning we went over to our storage unit and unloaded the stuff from the truck. It really wore Parker out...

Then we headed over to base to run some errands. Our friend Mary was nice enough to let us check out her house. She has the same layout that we are going to, so it was nice to get a feel for how it will look. Then we went over and ogled the one we are going to be moving into in June.

They just renovated them so they are pretty nice. They put in wood floors, added a extra room and a laundry room, built garages, and just put in new AC's this week.

This will be ours June 12th!

Right down the street is a nice park. Parker and I went down to check the swings out.

My mom decided she couldn't come to NC without visiting the beach, so that was our next stop. It was actually really nice, not too hot, not too cold. We spend a couple of hours there and had a really good time.

We are staying with some friends who have a little girl a year older than Parker. Park thinks it's great because she gets to play with all of her toys....

Feet

A couple of days ago she started doing this with her feet when I feed her. She use to just do the slow grabbing motion with her hands and kick her feet together. It's not a very good video because it was at the end of breakfast instead of the beginning, but is this anything like what Hank use to do?
