Park

I feel like I have so much to say I don't even know where to start. First of all, yesterday was my last day of work and Parker's last day of daycare, yay! Now the real packing begins. I am happy though to have more time with Park, I feel like she is growing up so quickly.
I love this cape that Amy made for her. All my friends have been really impressed with all the homemade gifts my sisters have been sending!

Park loves to ask "What happen? Who's that?" It's cute that she likes to sit and watch movies or just hang out while you play video games, but after the 50th "What happen Daddy?" you kinda wish she'd go find a baby to play with.

She spends A LOT of her time coloring and painting.

The last week or so she has really gotten into stickers. They are everywhere, including the window of my car.

She has also been saying a lot of funny things that I have no idea where she gets. For instance yesterday after I got her out of bath:
Park: I shakin momma, I shakin.
Me: Your shaking Parker?
Park: Yeah Momma, I shakin like a leaf!

The Lake

Last weekend we took advantage of the holiday and made a road trip up to NY. For anyone who hasn't heard, Hank received orders a couple of weeks ago to go work at SOI west (enlisted school of infantry) at Pendleton. The real kicker is that the orders have us reporting in in February, so we have been rushing to get things done. We decided NY was a must before we move across the country.

We got there on Friday, and on Saturday Hank, my dad, and 5 other guys went out snowmobiling. They went 110 miles that day.

It was actually pretty warm for NY so Park got to spend some time outside too.

She tried out sledding a few times.

But mostly just hung out with Aunt Nicki, Meg, and Connor.

The orders have actually been a blessing, even if they have us rushing to get things done. When Hank came home he went back to his parent command, who they themselves had just gotten back a couple of weeks earlier from 7 months on a MEU (ships). Within days of the earthquake in Haiti his command had been recalled, got back on the ships, and were on their way to Haiti for at least 90 days. Because of Hank's orders he didn't have to go. The people there need help, and I would have gladly let my husband go, but I am thankful I didn't have to watch him leave again after only having him home for 3 weeks following a year deployment.

Sorry, I have been so bad about blogging lately. We have been busy though. More to come soon.

The girls get into seriously everything when they are here on Tuesday nights.

100% Girl

Hank's cousin Dani brought lipgloss and make-up she had gotten for Christmas.

Needless to say I barely saw my daughter the entire weekend they were there.

Chloe liked the lip gloss too.

Parker tried this on everyone.

Dani, Parker, and Chloe.

Dani getting ready to do Parker's make up.

Finishing touches.

Merry Christmas from CC!

Park definitely needed some older cousins around to get her excited about Santa coming. I kinda had to guide her through it.

But once Bobby, Marlena, Chloe, Chance, and Jessica got here and started unwrapping she got excited.

Her favorite, a mickey mouse blanket.

Corpus!

Surprise! Hank was suppose to get home in January so I was suppose to go to NY for Christmas and then fly with him to Texas sometime later on. Around the 11th Hank called and told me he would be home next week so we quickly bought tickets to Corpus. Since it was such short notice we decided to just surprise his family, and boy were they surprised!

Parker and Chloe are only a year apart in age, and have really enjoyed getting to play together.

Walkin

Christmas day, after opening presents, we decided to take a walk.
These are Park's Spiderman sunglasses she picked out herself.

There is a huge park right next the house which has a duck pond with tons and tons of ducks/geese.

Park seriously ran the whole way there and back.

Uncle Ry's Pig

Ry has a pig at school that he takes care of and will eventually sell when he puts on enough weight. Since Ry broke his leg Dad has been taking care of the pig. Park has gone a few times to check it all out.

There are also goats and lambs.

This is Uncle Ry's pig.

Guess what? ..... Pig Butt!
