First day of School

Park started school today, yay!  Going to school seemed to come as a shock to her, I think she was so focused on her birthday that she didn't pay attention to us telling her she started today.  I wasn't able to get any  pictures of her getting on the bus because I was too busy trying to convince her to get on the bus, she really didn't want to.

Once she was on we jumped in the van and headed to the school.  Because of the long line to get in the parking lot she was already off the bus and at her classroom by the time we got there.  As soon as she saw me though she cried and dug her heels in when I tried to get her to go in.  It took the teacher and a few hugs to get her to join the class but she eventually did.  Her teacher seems great so I am not worried, I know she will be fine. 

Happy Birthday Park!

Happy Birthday Park! Today was Park's 5th Birthday so we threw her a party with some of her friends.   She definitely had a lot of fun, and tomorrow she starts school!

The morning started with our usual Sunday morning breakfast- eggs and pancakes, then progressed to legos with Dad. (she also woke up to crepe paper hanging from her door, and a room full of balloons).

Then we opened the presents from family and friends who weren't able to be here.  It was probably my favorite part of the day- quiet, and just us so I got to enjoy watching her ohhh and ahhhh about all her presents.  

In the afternoon we had a bunch of friends over for a party.  Park got a pink dog bone cake with bone shaped sprinkles.

Henry was super good.  He got passed around all day but didn't seem to mind.

Park got lots of awesome presents including some art supplies I am looking forward to trying out with her.

We rented this awesome dog jump house for the day.

Hill Cumorah Pageant

Cami had her friend Rikki visiting who had never seen Hill Cumorah Pageant, Parker and Ian are getting old enough to enjoy it, and Kelsey had never seen it so we packed everyone up and headed to Palmyra (minus Dally, Jude, and Rikki's little boy Henry whom my mom watched for us, thanks mom!!!).

We walked around before it started and let the kids pick people to take pictures with.  The very first girls Park picked ended up being a girl from Ian's ward in WA.  It's a small world.
