Uncle Dan

Park didn't get up until after 7 this morning, and she was so happy when she did. I was sad though, I had only a few minutes with her before I left for work. She was happy to sit on the counter and help me cut strawberries for my lunch.
She loves this chair being on the ground. She wants to eat on it, play on it, just sit in it. What a nut.

Here she is trying on mommy's shoes.

Our friend Dan came over for dinner tonight. Park had a good time playing with him before dinner.
She of course conned him into reading her a book before he left.

Park and Grandma

Park and Grandma have been hanging out the last couple of days.
My mom says they have been doing a LOT of this. She says she can't sit down without Parker bringing her a book to read.

Happy Presidents Day!

I love working for the government and therefore getting holidays off. My mom and I got so much done this weekend. We painted my family room, rearranged the furniture in the guest room, sanded and varnished my hutch/desk, and started a curtain for my kitchen door. Plus, we ate dinner and spent the evening with friends on Saturday and Sunday. Wow, makes me tired just thinking about it all...
I love Park's outfit in this picture. The sweatshirt is one my mom brought for her, and she basically hasn't taken it off since she got it.

As you can tell, Park has been very helpful.

I love the cute heart pants, thanks Grandma Bush!

Check out that hair...

This is the start of her one-eyed cry, it's pretty awesome.

Harrassing Miles while he was trying to eat.

Helping me sand the desk part.

After a long day it was nice to sit and read books together.

Sunday

You can tell my mom is here, we have a photoshoot for everything.

Parker was tired, and not very cooperative.

She was happy when we put her on her tractor though.

I don't love the cut yet, but I haven't had a chance to do it myself yet, so we will see.

Swimming

This afternoon my mom and I took Parker to one of the bases indoor pools. The water was a little chilly, but after we all got use to it we had a good time.

Grandma taught her how to kick and how to move her arms.

After I got out, Parker started getting out, then jumping back in to Grandma's waiting arms.

I love the pigtails.

My new haircut. I had already pulled it back, but at least you can see the length.
We also went to my friend's house tonight to have dinner and watch "Fireproof." It was really good, it made me appreciate my marriage even more. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is married.

Grandma's Here!

My mom is here for 2 whole weeks, yippee! She came to see Parker and I, and also to watch Parker while I work next weekend.
Today Parker helped Grandma make heart sugar cookies.

They brought them to me at work, and ate lunch with me. Everyone at work thought she was so funny, she made herself right at home.

Then this afternoon they went to Parker's daycare for the Valentines day party.

Here she is hanging out this morning.

I love this pictures, they were on their way to the park.

Happy Valentine's Day Hank from your girls!

Park

Some things I love about Park right now.
1. How she won't walk up to you, turn, and sit in your lap. She has to turn a few feet before you, and then back up until she gets there.
2. When she does something naughty she looks at me, and then starts clapping and saying "yay" in the hopes that I will start clapping, and she won't get in trouble.
3. When I pick her up from daycare she will be happily playing, but the moment she sees me she doesn't run to me, she runs for her bag, grabs it, starts crying, and won't stop until we have left the building.
4. How she gives me kisses all the time.

Nice Weather!

The weather has really warmed up this weekend. We went from freezing to the 60's in a day. Tomorrow is suppose to be 70, and I can't wait. Since we have all been cooped up for a couple of weeks, Nicole, Sarah and Charly, and Park and I decided to go play in the sand at the beach. We ate the picnic that Sarah had packed us, and had a good time just enjoying the sun.

I have to be really careful when I let her outside now, she is getting good at climbing up, but isn't sure of how to get down.

Daycare Brawl

I got a call at work today that a little boy in Parker's class hit her with a book. I don't get the written report until tomorrow, but it looks like she is going to have a shiner.
She is tough though, it doesn't seem to affect her one way or another.

Another Sunday

I am trying to blog at least a little bit every day, or every other day for Hank. We have actually gotten a lot done around the house this weekend, managed to get a run and a trip to the gym in, and have seen a bunch of our friends.

The screen on our camera doesn't work so I can't tell what I'm taking a picture (or video) of, until I get it on the computer. I am so sad I cut this picture off, they were being so cute holding hands.

Parker loves Tenley, she followed her around today, and wanted to do whatever she was doing.
I just thought this was funny, she was stuffing her clothes and diaper into my sewing machine cover.
