New Camera! Finally!

I finally went to Best Buy and bought myself a camera, finally! Hank has asked me at least 10 times to buy one. I love it, and took lots of pictures today just because I could.

I was off today so that I could take Grandma to the airport. We were both sad to see her go, but Parker was especially sad. We really enjoyed having you here Grandma, come back any time!
Our friend Charly came over when we got home. Her parents are on a trip and our friends are taking turns watching her. So the afternoon started with just Parker and Charly.

Parker and Charly were having fun playing in the pool and slidding down the slide with water running down it.

So we called Tenley and Robin and they joined in our fun, and brought bubbles!

And then Liz and Caleb came over, and then the neighbors kids wandered over.

We ended up with 8 kids in the backyard. I think it was too much for the little ones.

Park just hung out on the chair for a while, eating goldfish.

She wasn't very happy when Creed wanted her to share but she finally gave in.

Grammy came all the way from Corpus to spend the weekend hanging out with Park while Mommy had to work.

Luckily the weather has been beautiful so they have gotten to spend some time outside. Grammy even bought Parker this really cute new bathingsuit. Thanks Gram!

Carnival Day

They had a carnival at Parker's school today to celebrate this month being the month of the military child. I took a couple of hours off of work and joined Park. We fished for ducks in the duckpond, fed the fake monkey, blew bubbles, planted a flower, and jumped on the bounce floor. After it all the parents got to sit and eat lunch with the kids.

They made all the kids these cute shirts with their names on them. The teacher holding Parker, Ms. Eva, is Parker's favorite even though you can't tell. She was just mad cause she wanted to go home.

Circus

Today Park and I ditched out of work/daycare early and went to the Circus! It was just a small one that was at the fairgrounds here in Jacksonville, but it was pretty fun.

Park loved her light saber, mommy didn't after a few whacks to the face.......

We waited what seemed like forever for it to start. Park didn't mind, she got her exercise in going up and down the bleachers.

Sarah, Cody, and Charly met us there.

And helped us pig out on cotton candy and popcorn.

Robin, Chad, and Tenley came too.

There were camels, elephants, and horses the kids were getting rides on.

Parker was really good the first half.

She had a harder time the second half, but Cody helped out.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! After many egg hunts and Easter Parties the last couple of weeks, Park and I have chosen to have a quiet Easter at home.


I hid Parker's basket, but after so many egg hunts she just didn't seem very interested. She closed the door without bothering to look inside it.

We had fun coloring eggs this morning though. Parker colored a few than realized it was really fun to smash and break the eggs on her highchair.

We got these glasses while out shopping yesterday and she loves them! She wore them all around the outlets, people all over were laughing at her.

I am not really sure how well she can actually see out of them.

I assume that they take temperatures at daycare under the arm, because otherwise I don't know where Parker would have learned this. I thought it was really funny though that when she found her thermometer this is what she did.

She sure is cute, especially with those perfect spiral curls...

But her fashion sense needs some work. I picked out the shorts and t-shirt, she picked out the sweatshirt, socks, and crocs.

Oh man....

This is the funniest/most ridiculous doll I have ever seen. The batteries are in it for now, but I think I will have to take them out when Parker starts to understand what she is saying...

Easter Egg Hunt # 2

The weeks have been flying by (it is never going to be fast enough, but it hasn't been too bad). We seem to be really busy all the time, even on the weekend. This morning we went to a craft show on base, then headed over to the Naval Hospital Easter Party.

Apparently the Easter bunny is very scary. Parker wouldn't even let him touch her.

She liked a NowandLater that he left in one of the eggs on the ground though.

This was very funny, she was attached to my hip the entire time except when she decided she was thirsty. She marched right up to one of the coolers, stood next to some lady (who was looking around like where the heck is your mother), and got herself a drink.

The hospital had hired the same petting farm that was at the party last weekend. Parker wasn't into them as much this time, but I think it was mostly because she was tired. This is my friend from work, Laryn, and her little girl Kesslyn.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Park and I went to a Easter Egg Hunt/Party today. I am still not clear on who hosted it, but I know we were invited. At first Park had a hard time cause I had to wake her up from her nap, but she ended up really enjoying it. She got her hands painted (she refused to let them paint her face), ate some lunch, visited the petting zoo, and got easter eggs. They also had Sumo suits, blow up houses, and coloring tables.

Parker's favorite part was definitely the petting zoo. She was not afraid at all, and let all the animals eat out of her hands.

She picked up a ton of eggs. They did a really good job, and had lots of eggs for everyone. The only bad part was the entire field was muddy from two days of rain, and some kids accidently got into some fire ant piles. Ouch!

As we were leaving Parker ran up this ramp and refused to leave. She spent about ten minutes running up and down, and up and down.


She got as many eggs as could possibly fit in her bag.
